We are fortunate to have a very experienced team caring for our sharks. We worked together to execute a well-thought-out plan that resulted in two successful births. We are ecstatic to see our hard work, dedication and commitment pay off to help advance the conservation of this species.
The white tip shark pups were born June 5. 2021 in the aquarium large viewing exhibit and are both healthy.
We are aware that successful births of this species are very rare under human care but we remain cautiously optimistic and excited about their progress thus far. The pups will remain behind the scenes as they continue to grow and mature.
